Middle Meat Mania Campaign Wins Best of NAMA Award

The Middle Meat Mania Program has been awarded a Region II Best of NAMA award in April 2010 from the National Agri-Marketing Association (NAMA) in the producer-funded public relations program category. The Best of NAMA awards program honors the best work in agricultural communication.

The Middle Meat Mania campaign received significant exposure within the retail trade community. The most influential trade publications in the meat industry included the campaign in their summer grilling stories, and they also included stories on their Web sites covering the campaign. Articles in top publications generated more than 1.5 million media impressions in the first three months of the campaign.

Additionally, for the 13-weeks ending on 8/23/09, beef middle meat cuts experienced an increase of 8.5 percent in volume sales compared to the same period year ago while the total beef category increased 9.6 percent in volume sales during this time (Source: FreshLook Marketing).

Region II is made up of Montana, Wyoming, Colorado, New Mexico, Nebraska, Kansas, Oklahoma and Texas.
